Colby-Abbotsford Police Department Recommends Locking Vehicles After Multiple Thefts

The Colby-Abbotsford Police Department is encouraging everyone to lock up your vehicles, do not leave the keys in them and do not leave anything of value in them.

This is any kind of vehicle; if it runs and is capable of moving, it is at risk. Installation of security cameras, which can send you alerts concerning activity on your property, is always recommended as well. Stealing cars is against the law. As many may have heard, they have had multiple car thefts in the city recently.

They have referred charges to social services. They are discussing pursuing additional charges against the theft suspect as well as accomplices, associates and/or parents-guardians, so they are all held accountable for their involvement, failure to act or knowledge of the car thefts.
