Man the Subject of a Manhunt Near Stratford Over 4th of July Weekend Appears in Marathon County Court

(Mitchell Skurzewski, WAOW) Bartholomew "Bart" Baumann had a bond hearing in Marathon County Court after he was captured Monday following a two-day manhunt near Stratford. 

According to Mitchell Skurzewski with WAOW, Baumann, 35, is being held at Marathon County Jail on a $75,000 cash bond and faces numerous charges including three felonies: second degree recklessly endangering safety, fleeing officers, and possessing a firearm as a felon. He also faces three misdemeanor charges: Criminal trespass to a dwelling, Criminal damage to property, Resisting or obstructing an officer.

Baumann's listed address is in Beloit according to online court records. Baumann is to maintain absolute sobriety from and no possession of controlled substances except prescriptions taken as prescribed. Baumann will have a review hearing Friday and a preliminary hearing next Wednesday, July 17.
