Monday, June 30th, 2008 -- 8:34 AM
Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville is searching for a few more members for their Community Health Council. The Council is being formed to offer community feedback to MMC's board of directors, administration, medical staff and employees.
"We're trying to put together a consistent group of people that can meet on a quarterly basis," Wagner explains, "We can present our suggestions, our ideas for future services, our questions for them and we can have some direct dialogue."
18 community members have already committed to meeting quarterly, but officials could still use about five more.
There is plenty to talk about in the field of health care.
"For example, the future of long term care, the dental clinic we're working to bring into Neillsville, and the financials," Wagner says.
Members are asked to pay a $10 annual fee, which will be directed toward August's Family Health Expo. Community members interested in being involved are encouraged to join the Community Health Council by calling 743-3101.
