Plea Hearing Scheduled for Marshfield Woman Charged With Theft and Fraud

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A plea hearing has been scheduled for a Marshfield woman facing multiple felony counts related to theft and fraud against a financial institution.

According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Nacirema Frisch will appear for a plea and sentencing hearing on October 3rd. for 16 counts including mail fraud, bail jumping, wire fraud, and fraud against a financial institution.

Investigators say she stole outgoing mail from a business, including checks. She’s then accused of using personal information to access unauthorized accounts. A fraud prevention specialist at one Wausau financial institution is credited with finding irregularities with multiple accounts.

Security camera footage from ATMs allegedly showed Frisch withdrawing funds from those accounts. The case is cross-referenced with several others involving forgery, writing worthless checks, and fraud. Of the 16 counts, twelve are Class H felonies punishable by up to six years in prison.

The most serious charge against her is a Class E felony for organizing financial crimes, which comes with up to 15 years in prison. The plea and sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 3rd at 11 AM.
