Clark County Sheriff's Department Welcomes New Communications Deputy

Please welcome the Clark County Sheriff's Office's newest Communications Deputy, Brittany!

Brittany, who’s originally from Oxford, WI, but moved up to our area 15 years ago, was asked a few questions to help the citizens of Clark County get to know her better. She was interested in applying to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office because she knew she needed a career change.

It had been a long thought of what she would do after trucking. She knew she wanted to move on to something that had a purpose more than a “job.” She wanted to be able to help people. She decided to apply as dispatch to hopefully fulfill that desire.

Some of her interests and hobbies include outdoor activities, more specifically geared towards riding horses and taking her dogs on runs out in the woods and swimming. One of the skills that she brings to the Department is the ability to not give up on learning something just because it is hard.

As for her professional 5-year plan, she made a huge jump career wise, from a farming/trucking background to telecommunications. Her plan is to make this her last career change. She would like to complete her training and remain here until she’s ready for retirement.
