Marathon County Sheriff's Department Welcomes New K-9

The Marathon County Sheriff's Office welcomes K-9 Bodhi to the Department.

K-9 Bodhi has completed his training to become a certified therapy dog through Jessiffany Canine Services and is the newest member of the Department’s Crisis Assessment Response Team, or CART.

As a certified therapy dog, Bodhi will work alongside Deputy White to provide vital support in the community. His mission will be to help calm and comfort those in crisis.

The Crisis Assessment Response Team (CART) is a collaborative initiative between the Marathon County Sheriff's Office and North Central Health Care (NCHC). This dedicated team includes two law enforcement professionals trained in Crisis Intervention and two crisis professionals from NCHC.

They work together to provide comprehensive support for those in crisis. Support for this project was provided through the B.A. & Esther Greenheck Foundation and the Marathon County Sheriff's Benevolent. Without their support they wouldn't have a great resource like this for Marathon County.
