Former Wisconsin Rapids School Counselor Enters Plea for Sexual Assault of a Student

A former Wisconsin Rapids school counselor entered a plea for sexually assaulting a student.
According to the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department, at the end of 2021, the school district was alerted to a possible relationship between a staff member and a student.
Text messages and other details were provided by the victim. The counselor, Christopher Bondioli, was put on leave on January 25th of 2022. His resignation was accepted February 14th.
During Bondioli’s plea hearing on Tuesday, he was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, child enticement-sexual contact and sexual assault of a student by school staff. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. His sentencing is scheduled for August 20th.
