Marshfield School Board Hears Facility Improvement Planning Update and More

The Marshfield School Board heard a Facility Improvement Planning update at their recent meeting.

They also had the first reading of several items including the Academic & Career Planning Program Guide, the 2024-25 High School Student Handbook, the 2024-25 Alternative High School Student Handbook, and the 2024-25 Elementary Student Handbook.

The Board approved the Substitute Staff Handbook and approved the Extended Duty/Coaching/Advisor Handbook. The Board also approved the final offer to the Marshfield Teachers' Association for a 2024-2025 base wage increase for Professional Staff Members. The increase was 3.5% and it was approved, but with two board members voting no.

The Board also approved Wage Increases for Support Staff for 2024-2025 and approved Wage Increases for Administrative & District Level Staff for 2024-2025. The Board also approved Supplemental Pay for Instructional Staff and approved the Preliminary Budget for 2024-2025.

The Board approved the Contract Renewal and Wage Increase for Athletic Trainer Position and approved the 2024-2025 High School WIAA Membership Renewal.

Finally, the Board approved student travel to Houston, TX for the HOSA International Leadership Conference this month. The Board also approved some resignations and new personnel.

The Board also approved several donations including, for Madison Elementary, a Battle-tough American Flag valued at $50 from Ryan Kusay. For Lincoln Elementary, classroom snacks valued at $55 from Cornerstone Community Church, items for the school store valued at $200 from Nathan & Melanie Carter, and items for the school store valued at $27 from Ryan & Andrea McGaver.

Also, $1,200.00 from WI AGC Construction Education Foundation towards the purchase of construction tools for ACE Academy Seniors, $300 from 2 ½ Cups for the High School Music Program, and nine yards of bark for the Middle School Literacy Garden valued at $182.50 from Tom and Karen Dorshorst from Dorshorst Wood Recycling.

For the High School Metal Tech Program, Adult Welding class materials, $300 from Innovative Machine Specialists, Inc, $500 from Jennifer Schreiner, and $250 from Paget Equipment.

For the Middle School, last Day of School T-shirts ($150 each from the following businesses) including:
