Wisconsin Consumer Protection Recommends You Do a Sweep of Your Social Media Counts

(Bob Hague, Wisconsin Radio Network) This summer, it’s time to do a sweep of your social media accounts.
According to Bob Hague with the Wisconsin Radio Network, Wisconsin Consumer Protection administrator Michelle Reinen says you should limit who sees your social media posts.
Those posts could be giving away more than just embarrassing information, they could allow criminals to find out when you’re going to be away from home, or also copy your voice using AI to scam loved ones.
Reinen suggests setting posts to family and friends, and make sure you prune that contact list for people you actually know.
