2024 Miss Neillsville Contestants Announced

Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 -- 10:00 AM

The 2024 Miss Neillsville contestants have been announced.

They including Karcyn Schmitz sponsored by Schmitz Farms LLC, Addison Moen sponsored by Sniteman Pharmacy, Rachel Dux sponsored by Gross Motors, and Kaylee Lawrence sponsored by Russell's of Neillsville. Each candidate took a moment to introduce themselves.

Rachel Dux said, “I am going into my junior year of high school. I participate on the Volleyball team along with the Track & Field team. I am also a member of the National Honor Society."

"I love being involved in all of the activities of Heritage Days, but the thing I look forward to doing the most is listening to the live music while being with friends and family. The reason for wanting to be a part of Miss Neillsville is the amount of community involvement required. While being a part of Miss Neillsville I would like to embrace the opportunities to serve, lead and inspire within the community, while also growing personally.”

Addison Moen said, “I am going into my senior year this coming fall. You may recognize me from working at Snitemans, or teaching swimming and figure skating lessons."

"In my free time I figure skate, run track and field, and I am very active in student council, connections club, FFA, and Spanish club. Some of my hobbies include yoga, reading, and going on walks."

"My favorite part of Heritage Days is the glow run, because even though I am not fast I still enjoy running with my friends and encouraging other kids who might be doing it."

"I have decided to run for Miss Neillsville because I was blown away with how inviting some of the past members of the court were. I hope within my time with Miss Neillsville I can also be encouraging and uplifting to others. I also think being active in my community is very important and I know this is one way I can do that!”

Kaylee Lawrence said, “I'm going into my senior year at Neillsville High School. I am a varsity athlete in all of my sports including basketball, volleyball, and track & field. So far in my high school career, I have earned 5 all conference awards!"

"I also volunteer for many youth sports, and I'm also a part of National Honors Society and Spanish Honors Society. My favorite Heritage Days activity would likely be the glow run, because I love running myself as well as watching others run!"

"I chose to run for Miss Neillsville to act as a good role model for younger kids and as a way to give back to my community in such a positive way! Running for Miss Neillsville will also be such a great experience to learn so many new things while giving back in return!”

Finally, Karcyn Schmitz said, “I am going into my junior year of high school. I am involved in the BLAST group, FOR Club, National Honor Society, and I am the Vice President of the Neillsville FFA. I also play softball and volleyball."

"My favorite Heritage Days activity is watching all the floats go through the parade! I am running for Miss Neillsville to be a positive role model to the younger girls in our community, and to give the littles the same amazing opportunity as I had when I was Little Miss Neillsville. Being on the Miss Neillsville court will also grow my leadership skills.”
