Authorities Name of Person Killed in Train vs Car Crash

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) Authorities are naming the person who died following a train versus car crash in Jackson County, according to WEAU staff.
According to an updated press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, the person is identified as 18-year-old Roman Fronk of Black River Falls. According to a press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, on May 21, 2024, at about 5:22 p.m., the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a train versus car crash in the Town of Alma.
The press release says it was determined the vehicle did not yield to an oncoming train before being hit. The driver, Fronk, was pronounced dead on scene. The incident is under investigation.
