Wisconsin Rapids Police Department Investigating Motorcycle Crash

(Sam Walters, WSAU) The Wisconsin Rapids Police Department is investigating a deadly crash that occurred around 7:00 P.M, Friday evening, according to Sam Walters with WSAU.

According to a press release, the accident happened on State Highway 54 at the intersection of Washington Street, as a vehicle turned west towards Bakers Drive. The car was traveling northbound while the motorcycle was traveling south and took the turn in front of the cyclist.

The motorcyclist struck the passenger side of the vehicle, resulting in traumatic injuries causing their death after being taken to the Marshfield Hospital. The names of the passengers in the vehicle, along with the motorcyclist have not been released.
