The Wausau Police Department was honored to be at the Wausau Noon Optimist meeting on May 13th, as Wausau Officer Cody Holder was awarded the Law Enforcement Award for “…advancing the respect for law objectives of Optimist International.”
Officer Holder came to the department following an honorable military career including multiple overseas deployments. He has been a fantastic addition to the patrol bureau, serving as a field training officer and liaison to the local refugee community by helping individuals & families acclimate to the city. Officer Holder’s character is exemplary, and he embodies the Department’s core values of Professionalism, Accountability, Integrity, and Respect.
The Wausau community is fortunate to have him, and they are proud to have him receive this award. Congratulations, Officer Holder and the other award recipients, Trooper Austin Wanless from the Wisconsin State Patrol and Lt. Nick Marcell from the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office.
