Marathon County Crimestoppers Asking for Help Identifying Vehicle Involved in Hit-and-Run with Bicyclists

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) Marathon County Crimestoppers are asking for help to identify a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident involving two bicyclists and a car, according to Mike Leischner with WSAU.
According to Crimestoppers a man and a woman were out for a bike ride along Plover Road near Miller Road in the Town of Reid Wednesday evening. The victims say they were struck by a small maroon-colored Toyota car that had a loud muffler. Both victims went into the ditch.
The female victim was thrown from her bicycle and suffered serious injuries. Officers note that both were wearing helmets at the time of the incident. The driver of the Toyota did not stop to help the victims and did not report the accident. No description of the driver was given, but the vehicle will damage on the passenger side including a missing rear-view mirror, which is pictured above.
