Greenwood School Board Approves New Elementary Principal

The Greenwood School Board approved the hiring of a new Elementary Principal at a special meeting this week.

The Board approved the hiring of Christy Zierer as the Elementary Principal. The Board also approved the Spanish Club field trip to Puerto Rico in the fall of 2024.

The Board also approved the hiring of Aspen Hagen as Assistant Volleyball Coach, Jillian Lebal as Ag Teacher, and Christy Zierer as Elementary Principal. The Board approved several volunteers including Steven Toporek, Blake Liebzeit, Scott Cooley, Paula Kvistad, and Mark Niemann.

The Board also approved the Reading Specialist contract for Amanda Schlough and the Business Services Support contract for Jean Zimmer. The Board will also hold a Joint Board Meeting with the Loyal School Board on Wednesday, May 29 to discuss the Baird feasibility study.

The Board also discussed the possibility of additional counseling support, and approved the staff compensation model.
