PUBLIC HEARING ON SUBDIVISION REWRITE
Thursday, May 22nd, 2008 -- 11:36 AM
The public will have a chance to sound off on a proposed subdivision ordinance tonight.A public hearing will begin at 7:05 p.m. tonight in the County Board room.
According to the agenda, those wishing to speak at the hearing must sign up before the County Board meeting begins at 7 p.m.
Supporters of the measure say common sense changes are needed to ease development pressure in the area, but critics say the proposed ordinance is a property rights power grab.
The ordinance hasn't been updated for two decades.
The public hearing will be followed by a monthly meeting of the Clark County Board.
One item on the agenda would earmark $200,000 in Forestry and Parks Department monies for the installation of a new chairlift at Bruce Mound.
