Former North High School Teacher Sentenced for Child Pornography

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) A former North High School teacher is sentenced for possession of child pornography.
According to WEAU Staff, court records show 63-year-old Todd Williams of Menomonie, Wis. is sentenced to three years in prison and three years extended supervision. According to court records, Williams plead no contest to one count of possession of child pornography.
According to a criminal complaint, authorities searched Williams’ computer, in which they say 36 images believed to be child pornography were found. The computer search also revealed suspected chat room conversations that Williams had with others in which he asked to engage in sexual acts with underage boys.
In November of 2020, the Eau Claire Area School District sent out a statement confirming Williams is a teacher at North High School and that he has been suspended without pay.
According to an April 29, 2024, statement from the Eau Claire Area School District, Williams has not worked in the ECASD since Nov. 19, 2020. He was suspended without pay effective Nov. 20, 2020, and, while on suspension, resigned Feb. 4, 2021.
