BRESKE IN AS RAILROAD COMMISH

Gov. Jim Doyle has replaced Wisconsin's longtime railroad commissioner with a state senator.Roger Breske, an Eland Democrat, will take over as commissioner on June 4. He'll serve until March 2011.
Breske replaces Rodney Kreunen, who has served as commissioner since 1996.
Doyle spokesman Lee Sensenbrenner initially said Kreunen had decided to retire, but later said his term had expired and Breske was qualified to take over.
The railroad commissioner is responsible for enforcing railroad safety regulations and assessing crossing safety.
