Marshfield Fire Department Responds to Grass Fire

The Marshfield Fire Department responded to a grass fire on Tuesday.
According to a report from the Department, they received a report of a grass fire around 3pm on Tuesday, April 16th at 303 E. Heritage in Marshfield. Upon arrival there was visible fire and smoke coming a pile of garbage in the front yard of the residence.
The flames were extinguished within the first 5 minutes of the scene. There were no structural exposures to the fire and there was no extension of the fire beyond the original pile of garbage. The cause of the fire has been determined to be accidental.
There were no injuries in the incident. There was no damage to the home or any other structures on the property. Tuesday's windy conditions caused the fire to spread quickly.
