Marshfield Fire Department Responds to Garden Shed Fire

The Marshfield Fire Department responded to a garden shed fire Sunday morning.
According to a report from the Department, on Sunday, April 14th, around 10:35am, they were dispatched to 1222 E. 17th street for a fully engulfed shed fire that was spreading to adjacent sheds.
Engines 1 and 3 along with Ambulance 95 responded to the scene. Upon arrival there was heavy fire and smoke showing from three separate garden sheds behind the residence.
The main body of the fire was knocked down within the first five minutes of the scene. The thermal imager was utilized to check for fire extension within the three adjacent structures to the fire; there were no signs of fire extension into the adjacent structures.
The garden shed at 1222 E. 17th was a total loss as were two neighboring garden sheds at 1222 E. 18th. According to the Department, the cause of the fire was a recreational fire that was left unattended.
The high winds on Sunday also contributed to the fire. There were no injuries in the incident.
