Thorp FFA Students Heading for State Competition on April 25th

On March 19th, Thorp FFA students traveled down to Midstate Technical College In Wisconsin Rapids for the Regional Career Development Events competition.

The teams participating:

• Dairy Cattle judging: Ella Ewings, Bailey Maier, Ansley Stickler, and Brevyn Hanson;
• The Horse judging team: Izzy Nowobielski, Victoria Kotecki, Ruby Hein, and Ashlee Schesel;
• The Forestry team: Connor Tieman, Emma Leech, Carter Tieman, and Erika Kaiser;
• The Meats judging team: Logan Kodl, Cameron, Brent, and Thomas Abramczak;
• The Vet Science team: Preslee Lew, Jaedyn and Jasmine Stratton;
• The Wildlife team: Dylan Reineke, Parker Anderson, Ivan and Dorian Neisius;
• The Floriculture team: Anna Ciolkosz, Kambria Mannel, Miranda Boehlke, and Samantha Burish;
• The Livestock team: Emma Mohr, Kendal Luzinski, Kallie and Landon Penk;
• The middle school agriscience team: Laurena Sauer, Hailey Ciolkosz, Lauren Kroeplin, Morgan Hair, Oliver Henderson, Mason Rudnick, and Trevor Kodl.

On March 22nd, the Poultry and Ag Mech teams traveled to Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton for the CDE competition.

• The poultry team consisted of Luke Schraufnagel, Jacob Ciolkosz, Allie Haas, and Ava Boehlke.
• The Ag Mech team consisted of Blake Ciolkosz, Ben Stroinski, Harley Zurakowski, and Tyler Hughes.

The following teams advanced to the state competition in Madison on April 25th:

• Ag Mech,
• Horse judging,
• Poultry judging,
• Forestry,
• Wildlife,
• Floriculture,
• And Livestock.
