Two in Custody After Shooting BB Guns at Passing Vehicles in Augusta

(WEAU Staff) Two suspects are in custody after being accused of shooting BB guns at passing vehicles in Augusta, according to WEAU staff.
According to Augusta police, on March 27, 2024, the Augusta Police Department responded to a report of damage to property. Augusta police say they learned two juveniles were shooting BB guns at passing vehicles, resulting in damage to vehicles, and one passenger being hit by debris while sitting in the front seat when their window was shot out.
As a result, two juveniles, who were referred to adult court due to age, were booked into the Eau Claire County Jail on the suspicion of 1st degree recklessly endangering safety, and criminal damage to the property, according to Augusta police.
Augusta police say if you have traveled in the 300 block of East Lincoln Street in February or March of 2024, and if your vehicle sustained damage, you are asked to contact the Augusta Police Department, reference this case, and speak with an officer to determine the likely cause of damage.
