Neillsville District Administrator Discusses the School Funding Process and Increased Need for Referendums by School Districts
Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 -- 11:00 AM
With our busy election year here in 2024, many school districts, including here in Clark County, are asking residents to approve either operational or capital referendums.
This has become more and more common over the years with many districts facing severe cuts, consolidation, or even closure if the referendums are not approved. But what has caused this increase in referendum questions on the ballots, especially for our small rural school districts?
I spoke with John Gaier, District Administrator of the Neillsville School District and the Chairperson of the Association for Equity and Funding, and he explained how our schools are funded in more detail and the increased need for referendums by school districts.
Listen to my interview with Mr. Gaier here!
Once again, if you have any questions about the school funding process, you can contact Mr. Gaier at the Neillsville School District for more information.
