Arts Council of South Wood County Donates to Aspirus Riverview Foundation's Cancer Patient Fund
Tuesday, April 9th, 2024 -- 8:18 AM
Many local cancer patients are being helped with their treatment-related expenses, thanks to the Arts Council of South Wood County and its patrons.
$3 from every ticket sold to the March 10 “Always Olivia” performance was donated to Aspirus Riverview Foundation's Cancer Patient Fund. Arts Council Executive Director Sally Kissner recently presented a $1,328 donation to Aspirus Riverview Foundation Board Member Steve Walczak and Executive Director Sherry Evenson.
The Cancer Patient Fund assists patients of Aspirus Cancer Care-Wisconsin Rapids with costs related to their treatment for which there are no other resources available. Typical examples include nutrition supplements, transportation to appointments, Home Delivered Meals, grocery cards, utility and rent assistance, and more.
Aspirus Riverview Foundation supports community-based efforts that align with improving the community's greatest health and wellness needs. To learn more about the foundation, visit aspirus.org/aspirus-riverview-foundation.
