One of the Men Arrested for Stevens Point Homicide Appears in Portage County Court

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) One of the three men arrested in connection with the death of 61-year-old Donald G. Mitchell Jr. appeared in Portage County Court on Thursday
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Portage County District Attorney Cass Cousins announced that Christian Emerson, Brandon Boehm, and Arlin Sangster are all facing one felony homicide count that could land them in prison for up to 46 years.
The trio is accused of beating Mitchell in a downtown Stevens Point parking lot. Mitchell was rushed to a Stevens Point hospital and then airlifted to Wausau where he died from his injuries.
Emerson is facing a charge of 1st degree reckless homicide. Probable cause was found during his preliminary hearing, so his court proceedings will continue. During his arraignment, he entered a not guilty plea to the charge against him. He’s scheduled to be back in court on June 10th.
