(Veonna King, WAOW) Having a history in the military can cause mental and physical problems.
According to Veonna King with WAOW, to better diagnose and treat active military members and veterans, physicians at Marshfield Clinic are now asking their patients if they have a military past. This was first implemented back in March of 2024.
"We were seeing that our patient population weren't really aware of those services, the VA, the clinical care network, the recent Pact Act, the exposure to burn pits, and some of those benefits," said Corey Cronrath, Medical Director at Marshfield Clinic Health System’s Occupational Health service line.
Cronrath said that the health care system plans to work with Veteran Affairs to get more benefits and services to their military patients.
