Former Packers Player Facing Domestic Abuse Charges in Marathon County

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A plea and sentencing date has been scheduled for the former Packers player accused of domestic abuse and numerous other charges in Marathon County.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Bill Ferrario has been scheduled for a plea and sentencing hearing on July 2nd for multiple charges across three cases including disorderly conduct, stalking, and OWI.
The first incidents occurred when police were called to Ferrario’s Wausau home multiple times in January of 2023. One call ended with officers taking him to a hotel for the night, only to be brought back again the next day for another incident.
In one case officers said they found him outside his home yelling at two women inside and throwing things at the garage. That’s when he was arrested for disorderly conduct and released on a $1500 signature bond with a full no-contact order against the victims.
A few weeks after that incident new charges of stalking and intimidating a victim were filed against him. Many of the counts carry domestic abuse modifiers, which could increase the penalties against Ferrario.
Court records show he has moved to Eau Claire, and remains free on bond. Ferrario, a Pennsylvania native who played football at the University of Wisconsin, spent most of his brief NFL career with the Green Bay Packers.
