Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 -- 12:00 PM

The Marshfield Police Department is requesting charges of impersonating an officer after a traffic stop.
According to a report from the Department on March 26th, at 9:18am, during a traffic stop at Hume and McMillian Avenue, a 29 year old Marshfield male stated he was a police officer. He later came to the Marshfield Police Department and showed the officer a police ID card from a department in Arkansas.
The Officer called and spoke with a Lieutenant at that department and he stated the male had not been employed by them for about a year. A request for charges will be sent to the Marathon District Attorney's Office for impersonating a police officer.
