Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves Ordinance Regarding Flood Prevention and Control and More

The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved an ordinance regarding flood prevention and control.
This ordinance addresses and regulates development activities in floodplains in the County. The Board also approved a resolution moving forward with the foreclosure of 2020 tax delinquent properties.
They also approved a resolution to move forward with Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Grant application for the purchase of 80 acres of land adjacent to some public county land.
The land is in the Town Seif privately owned by a county resident and they’d like to expedite the sale. The Board also approved the cancellation of some outstanding checks.
The Board also approved grant application funding for ATV/UTV Trail Maintenance funding. The County has 241.2 miles of eligible trails. The grant would provide $600 per mile for summer trails, $100 per mile for winter trails, $400 per mile of UTV trails, and $249 per mile for Troute trails. The County could receive a total of $88,132.60.
Finally, the Board approved grant application funding for Snowmobile Trail Maintenance funding. The grant would provide $300 per mile and the County has 376.20 miles of snowmobile trails. They could receive a total of $112,860.
