Reminder: Dog and Cats in the City of Marshfield Must Have Rabies Vaccination and Be Licensed by this Sunday, March 31st
Monday, March 25th, 2024 -- 11:00 AM
Dogs and cats must be vaccinated for rabies by a licensed veterinarian.
The veterinarian will then issue a rabies certificate explaining the vaccination and expiration date, suitable for one or three years. At the time of vaccination, a rabies tag, will be provided. The rabies tag from the veterinarian is not a license.
City ordinance states all cats and dogs living within the city limits of Marshfield and are five months of age or older must be licensed annually. The license requirement is for citizens' safety to ensure the animals have proper vaccines. The license is also used to return pets if they become lost safely.
$8 per dog (neutered/spayed), $6 per cat (neutered/spayed), $16 per dog (unneutered/unspayed), $12 per cat (unneutered/unspayed). An additional late fee is administered after April 1. Pet licenses are due by March 31. More info here.
