Thorp FFA Student Receives First in Speaking Competition

On March 11, Luke Schraufnagel of Thorp competed at the Sectional Leadership Development Events at Granton High School.

Luke competed in prepared public speaking and extemporaneous speaking where only the top placed individual moves on. After many hours of speaking and waiting, Luke received 1st place in both of his competitions, advancing to the state competition in June.

State Vice President Lizzy Reinart awarded Luke both of his Sectional Champion plaques. Congratulations Luke!
