City of Black River Falls Hires New Parks and Recreation Director

The Hiring Committee for the City of Black River Falls has selected Jarod Meyer as the new Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Black River Falls.

Meyer has been employed with the City of Duluth Parks & Recreation Department since 2021 as a Recreation Specialist. He has 15 years of parks & recreation experience including previously serving 6 years as an Intramural & Competitive Sports Specialist for UW-Superior.

Meyer earned his Master’s Degree in Recreation Management from UW-La Crosse. The City’s Hiring Committee received 7 applications and interviewed two candidates for the position.

Meyer is expected to begin his tenure as Parks & Recreation Director for the City of Black River Falls on April 8, 2024 pending standard pre-employment screenings and exams.
