Monday, March 18th, 2024 -- 5:01 PM

(Mason Dowling, WAOW) A 15-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle near Marshfield High School Friday morning, according to Mason Dowling with WAOW.

According to police, the 15-year-old was riding his bike on the sidewalk when he crossed into the intersection of N. Peach Ave. and E. Arnold St. without slowing down. A vehicle turning into the intersection then hit him, knocking him from his bike. The child was transported by ambulance to the hospital, but had non-life threatening injuries.

Marshfield Police do not believe the driver will be cited. They also remind parents and cyclists alike to stop at intersections and check for oncoming traffic before crossing.
