NEILLSVILLE INDUSTRIAL PARK COULD GROW
Tuesday, April 29th, 2008 -- 11:15 AM
Neillsville's Industrial Park might be getting bigger. After meeting in closed session for about an hour Monday night, the City Council, Planning Commission and Economic Development Commission came into open session.
The Planning Commission made a motion to make an offer of $100,000 for the property owned by the family of the late Victor St. John. The brick house and barn sits on 8 acres and is surrounded by Industrial Park property.
The City Council also agreed to have the land owned by Lloyd Meyer that sits due north of the current OEM property measured. The city will likely make an offer to purchase that 6 acres after the measurements are taken.
The group discussed annexing some Town of Pine Valley property into the city, but took no action.
