The Marshfield School Board approved the donor list and naming opportunities for the Marshfield Fieldhouse Video Board Project at their meeting on Wednesday evening.

Nasonville Dairy, Nelson-Jameson, and Simplicity Credit Union all confirmed interest in sponsoring the video board. The total cost of the project is $111,000, with each sponsor paying $37,000 towards the project.

The Board also approved the 2024-25 CESA 5 contract for a total cost of $597,044.11. The Board also accepted a $5,000 donation America's Farmers Grow Communities.

The Board also approved some budget amendments including a reduction of $13,309 due to not receiving as much as they were initially told for the Carl Perkins Career and Technical Education Grant.

The other amendment includes transferring $237,696.13 from the Capital Projects budget line item into an Instructional line item for the purposes of completing the multi-phase renovation of the Marshfield High School Auditorium. This final phase includes LED and multi-purpose stage lighting upgrades, new curtains, and a new acoustical shell for musical performances.

The Board also approved a consortium agreement with the Neillsville, Pittsville, Stratford, and Thorp School Districts for students who want to take part in Project Search Students Program.

The Board also approved several field trips including:

The Board also approved the Professional Staff Handbook and Administrative Staff Handbook. The Board tabled a resolution to adopt the Wisconsin Public School District and Related Record General Records Schedule as an incorrect link didn’t provide them with all the information. It will be brought back for the next meeting.

The Board also had the first reading of a long list of policies. No further action was taken, but they will be brought back for the second reading, and approval, at their next meeting.

They also had the first reading of the Family and Consumer Science Curriculum. Again, no further action was taken, but it will be brought back to the next meeting for the second reading and approval.

The Board also approved several donations including:
