ARPIN BANS PIT BULLS

The Wood County village of Arpin has joined Neillsville in banning "pit bulls".Arpin amended its dog ordinance to ban the breeds after a number of complaints from residents.
Dogs of that breed that were already registered with the village as of April 1 are exempt from the amendment. But if one were to attack a person, it would also be banned.
Neillsville approved a similar ban in 2003.
