Black River Falls Fire And EMS Respond To Accident On I-94

At 4:11am Friday morning, the Black River Falls Fire and EMS responded to Interstate 94, Mile Post 116 East, for a semi tractor accident.
One person was treated by EMS with minor injuries and was released. Hixton Fire & Rescue was requested for mutual aid. All fire crews were released from the scene around 8:00am. According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a semi, pulling two trailers, was traveling in a construction zone when it impacted an attenuator connected to the jersey barriers dividing traffic. The trailer then detached and caught fire. The driver was able to escape before the fire started.
