MORE CUTS AT GREENWOOD
Thursday, April 24th, 2008 -- 12:12 PM
The TRG reports the Greenwood school board made some more deep cuts this week.Special education and the elementary school will both lose one full-time position and a half-time choral music teacher will be cut.
The moves are projected to save the district $160,000, but still leave them between $150,000 and $200,000 in the hole for the next school year.
The district's enrollment continues to decline. Superintendent Tom Nykl predicted a drop of 25 more students next year.
