Marshfield Man Sentenced for 7th OWI

A Marshfield man charged with his 7th OWI was sentenced in Wood County Court on Tuesday.

Back in July of 2023, a Wood County Sheriff’s Deputy observed a vehicle operating left of center in the Township of Lincoln. A traffic stop was conducted. Inside of the vehicle were open intoxicants.

After further investigation, Phil D. Rozek, of Marshfield, was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated 7th offense. A three day jury trial was scheduled to begin today for Rozek, but a plea deal was reached.

Rozek was found guilty of 7th offense operating with a PAC. Another charge was dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion and two other charges were dismissed and read in. Rozek was sentenced to 3 years in state prison and 5 years of extended supervision.

His driver’s license was also revoked for 36 months and he must have an ignition interlock device on his vehicle for 36 months.
