Merrill Man Charged with the 2022 Overdose Death of Wausau Woman

(Tom King, WSAU) A Merrill man has been charged in the 2022 overdose death of 42 year old Leanna Wells of Wausau.

According to Tom King with WSAU, the Wausau Pilot & Review is reporting that 41 year old Brandon Clark faces charges of first-degree reckless homicide and manufacturing or delivering heroin as a party to a crime. Wells died of an overdose in September of 2022.

The drugs used in the overdose were traced to Clark. He appeared in Marathon County Court Tuesday and was ordered held on a $20,000 cash bond. A preliminary hearing is set for March 13th.
