Wausau Water Works Rain Barrel Program is Back

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) The Wausau Water Works Rain Barrel program is back for another summer.

According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, the barrels attach to your home’s gutter system to collect rainwater during storms. That allows residents to use the water at a later date on plants or their yard.

Each barrel stores up to 50 gallons of water. Wausau Water customers can order a barrel for $51, while non-residents can purchase a barrel for $76. Barrels will be delivered to the Wausau Water Works office at 1801 Burek Avenue and can be picked up between Tuesday, May 7th and Wednesday, May 8th.

Customers can order two barrels at the discounted rate. Additional barrels can be ordered for full price. For more information and to order, click here. This is the third year that Wausau Water Works has offered the discounted rain barrel program.
