Wood County Sheriff's Department Releases Information on the Release of Two Registered Sex Offenders

The Wood County Sheriff’s Department has provided information on the release of two registered sex offenders.

The first is 47-year-old Randy Zinthefer. In 2006, Zinthefer was convicted of Child Enticement-Expose Sex Organ (3 Counts) and Possession of Child Pornography (8 Counts), in Wood County. Zinthefer has been designated as a Level 3 Sex Offender.

This is the highest classification of notification level in so far as a potential threat or danger to the community at large. The criminal history involving the convictions of Zinthefer indicates he offended against minor, male strangers.

The second is 64-year-old Lenny Keding. In 1993, Keding was convicted of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault of a child in Wood County. Keding has been designated as a Level 3 Sex Offender.

This is the highest classification of notification level in so far as a potential threat or danger to the community at large. The criminal history involving the convictions of Keding indicates he offended against minor males who were known to him.. 

Both Zinthefer and Keding will be residing at 11898 State Highway 73 in the town of Cary, Wood County WI. They both have a lifetime GPS monitor, which is in place. Please note: State law forbids the harassment of released Sex Offenders.

Please understand that the Department of Health Services, the Department of Corrections, and the Wood County Sheriff's Department want to ensure a safe community, but we also understand the reality that people are released from prison and must be incorporated back into the community.
