Greenwood Students Win Battle of the Books

Congratulations to the Greenwood School District’s winning Battle of the Books teams.

The winning high school team was Kynton, Ashlyn, and Jana. The winning middle school team was Mason, Dre, and Steven. While the teacher teams at both levels were the ultimate winners, these top student teams competed in the online statewide battle on Friday. Battle of the Books is sponsored by the WEMTA (Wisconsin Educational Media and Technology Association).

Not only does participation in Battle of the Books encourage students to read a variety of books and remember information about the plots, characters, and settings, it also benefits literacy, broadens knowledge of different subjects and book genres, and helps to establish a lifelong love of reading.
