Wood County Woman Sentenced for Possession Charges

A woman arrested after the execution of a search warrant in Wood County appeared in Wood County Court on Wednesday.

Back on July 12th of last year, the Wood County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant in the Village of Biron, Wood County, and quantities of suspected Methamphetamine, Heroin, and Marijuana were seized from inside the residence.

This residence is a rental property located at the intersection of 31st Street North and Wolosek Ave. At the time, this is the 4th search warrant the Wood County Sheriff’s Department has executed at this residence in just over a year.

Individuals continue to maintain this residence as a drug trafficking residence even as the initial renter remains in jail in connection to selling controlled substances in 2022.

Four individuals were taken into custody on July 12th for different criminal charges depending on each individual’s involvement in the investigation: Mayta Montelongo, Gary Anderson Sr, Eugene Kelly, Tracy Stuntzner.

During a plea hearing in December of last year, Mayta Montelongo pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotic drugs, and possession with intent - fentanyl. She was sentenced to 3 years in state prison and 5 years of extended supervision.
