Neillsville School Board Hears Building Projects Update and More at Monthly Meeting

The Neillsville School Board began their meeting with a building projects update.
The Board also approved the bid from Total Electric in the amount of $190,800 for the IT upgrade as presented, approved the 2024-2025 school calendar as presented, approved the CTE 10 program as presented, and approved the new curriculum for statistics class as presented.
The Board also approved the textbook adoption and material purchase for ELA grades 6 through 10 as presented, approved the 2024-2025 Expanded Course Offerings Handbook as presented, and approved the Summer School Online Course Handbook from Rural Virtual Academy as presented.
The Board also approved the foreign exchange student request from a student for the 2024-2025 school year as presented, approved the CESA 10 contract for the 2024-2025 school year as presented, and approved the Achievement Gap Reduction report as presented.
The Board also approved the monetary donation from Patricia Zager as presented, approved the monetary donation from Julie Simek as presented, and approved the donation of four 5-gallon water coolers from Atmus Filtration as presented.
In employment matters, the Board approved the resignation, as presented, of Theresa Lezza from her teaching assistant position, Amanda Waltemate from her food service assistant position, Trena Abbott from her cheerleading advisor position, Shannon Funston from her assistant softball coaching position, Brian Waters from his student council advisor position, and Craig Anderson Ruskin from his principal position.
The Board approved the hiring of, as presented, Sam Warden for a teaching assistant position and Eric Moltzen for the assistant softball coaching position.
The Board also approved the updated letter of appointment for Johnette Place for her food service assistant position as presented and approved the Memorandum of Understanding for Randy Ystad as presented. The Board also approved the initial adoption of Policy JHC as presented and Policy DLC as presented.
Finally, the Board heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Marcy Kunze reported on:

- Read Across America Week from March 4th-8th;
- School spelling bee winners;
- New regulation room;
- And National FFA Week.
Middle School Principal Kory Poeschel reported on:

Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on:
