Neillsville High School Principal Craig Anderson has accepted a new position as District Administrator of the Pepin Area Schools.

The following is an announcement released by the Pepin Area Schools Board of Education:

"Dear Community Members,"

"It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we announce the appointment of Craig Anderson Ruskin as the District Administrator for Pepin Area Schools, effective July 1, 2024. On behalf of the Board of Education, we are thrilled to welcome Craig to our school district and community."

"Craig brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership in the field of education. For the past thirteen years, he has served as the high school principal in the Neillsville School District, where he has demonstrated his commitment to excellence, innovation, and student success."

"Prior to that, Craig served as the PreK-12 principal of Granton School District for eight years, providing him with valuable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities that small schools like ours present."

"We believe that Craig's extensive experience, combined with his dedication to student learning and achievement, make him the ideal candidate to lead Pepin Area Schools into the future. His ability to lead teams through both success and adversity, as evidenced by his tenure in previous leadership positions, will be invaluable as we work together to continue to provide a high-quality education for all of our students."

"Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Craig Anderson Ruskin as he assumes his new role as District Administrator on July 1, 2024. We are confident that under his leadership, Pepin Area Schools will continue to thrive and excel."

Mr. Anderson provided the following statement:

"First, I want to thank both the Granton Area School District and the School District of Neillsville. I have spent the past 27 years of my life in these two communities as an educator."

"During this time I have met so many amazing people and had the privilege to work with amazing teachers, students, and families in these two communities. This was not an easy decision as I have cherished my past 13 years with the School District of Neillsville."

"I love the people that I work with and the support that our school family provides daily. The School District of Neillsville is a great place to work and learn for adults and children."

"I have been fortunate to have a veteran staff at Neillsville who understands what it takes to be successful in a small rural district. They are outstanding educators and wonderful people that I love, admire, and respect."

"I could not have asked for a better mentor in my administrative journey than Mr. Gaier and our administrative team is second to none. I am grateful to the Neillsville Board of Education for the opportunity to be a part of the Neillsville family for the past 13 years."

"The opportunities that have been provided to me and my family are immeasurable and they would not have been possible without your belief and support in me as a school leader."

"As I look forward to my new position with the Pepin Area School District, it's the next chapter for me and my family. Pepin is a small rural community and that's who I am as a person and as a school leader."

"I will take my 27 years of wonderful experiences in Clark County to my new home in Pepin where I will try to build additional connections and relationships within the school community and that's very exciting for me."

"Lastly, I would like to thank the many people who have reached out to me recently with well wishes; I am humbled and grateful for their support and friendship."
