Main Street Marshfield Holds Award Ceremony

Friday, February 2nd, 2024 -- 8:01 AM

Main Street Marshfield recently held their awards ceremony.

  • Liam, Nate and Maddie Olson of MoJo’s were recognized as Employees of the Year.

This award honors a downtown employee that stands above the rest. This year, the Olson’s received the awards, who have taken on as much ownership of customer service, as their owner parents. They remember customer names, diligently hone their craft in the kitchen, and overall provide the experience you seek as a customer.

  • Dennis Keffer was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year.

This award honors a downtown volunteer who supports the organization with many hours, a willing spirit, and an attitude representing hard work and passion for the mission to energize and strengthen downtown.

This person is big-hearted and hard-working. He's the guy you want to sit next to because he'll make you laugh and also be productive. Many local organizations have benefited from this.

When not producing content for his social media or PD Facebook, a community favorite due to his entertaining quips and educational content, he spends spare time investing locally through coaching soccer, MACF, Movies in the Park, Special Olympics, Children’s Service Society of Wisconsin, and church.

  • Vicki Tracy was selected as the Board Member of the Year.

This award honors a board member who sets aside extra time for Main Street and who dives into the mission with heart. Consideration for 2023 included this board member’s passion for small business, heart for Marshfield, dedication to volunteering at events even after long days at work, recruiting family support for the organization, and diligence in promoting marketing materials.

  • Mode de Vie received the 2023 Commitment to Hospitality

This award recognizes a business committed to excellence in their customer service experience. From the moment you walk up to this storefront, you feel welcome.

When you walk into the store, you’re greeted with a thematic hello in French, an agreeable choice for the name and feel of the shop. Owners are attentive and  hands-on with customer needs.

They do everything they can to learn and grow to continue to provide this, including taking advantage of the Main Street RetailWorks consulting and installation services last spring, participating in events, and changing out interior and  window displays.

  • Two Sparrows Photography was recognized for Commitment to Design.

This award recognizes a business committed to a consistent, quality design throughout their business. Put excellently in the words of RetailWorks, “The right interior design can change everything. It enhances the perceived value of your product, service, and brand."

"It inspires and motivates your customers and employees while increasing your bottom line. It creates an environment that is multi-sensory and emotionally engaging.”

  • Bill and Karen Mueller at 111 E. 4th Street received the Outstanding Renovation Award.

This award recognizes the best commercial renovation project debuting in 2022. The physical design should enhance the commercial district in appearance or function and establish noteworthy economic development in the district.

This year a building split in two parts invited its final tenant into its second space to complete a now well-utilized collection of single-floor commercial tenants.

The renovation consulted with Main Street and the City to restore whatever historic elements were able to be saved and then both carefully and economically brought back into full use.

  • The Feltz Family received the Partnership of the Year.

This award recognizes a group that has served with time and resources outside of committees and the board of directors to energize and strengthen downtown Marshfield.

It’s been a blessing to get to know the leader of this group, and now after several years getting to know his family. They love Marshfield and seeing great experiences come together for residents, especially those with less means.

They have a soft spot for children, ensuring whatever they put together includes them, they always create a give-back element to veterans, and they put hours and hours of personal time into the event they lead through Hub City Days each year. Their passion and love for Marshfield, (and cars), drives them.

  • Jon and Ginny Roadfeldt received the Spirit of Giving Award.

Generous spirit to Main Street as an organization that helps propel downtown forward in its mission. A few donations to odd needs within the organization were given by this couple because they’ve visited Marshfield and enjoyed downtown.

They in particular enjoy treasure-hunting at Thimbleberry Books and St. Vincent de Paul, true gems to them–even though they live in the heart of the Twin Cities shopping suburbs.

This couple has been giving of their finances, time, and heart as an important value of their family their entire lives. They model this to others and help foster a generous spirit within the younger members of their family.

  • Finally, it was announced that the Holiday Parade Marshal for 2024 will be Bill Sennholz.
