COIN FLIP WILL LIKELY SETTLE COUNTY BOARD RACE
Thursday, April 3rd, 2008 -- 8:58 AM
It's ironic that, in this day and age of electronic and computerized voting, a race for the Clark County County Board will come down to a coin flip. Results show both incumbent Chuck Rueth and challenger David Clintsman received 93 in Tuesday's election.
Those votes will be canvassed Thursday morning at the Courthouse. If the two are still tied, County Clerk Christina Jensen says statute requires election officials to use one of a number of tie-breakers: they could draw straws, flip a coin or draw cards.
The flip will likely happen sometime between 11 a.m. and noon.
