Osseo-Fairchild Emerging Engineers Showcase Engineering Skills at CVTC
Tuesday, January 23rd, 2024 -- 10:01 AM
Talented students from the Osseo-Fairchild Emerging Engineers recently had the opportunity to showcase their engineering skills by conducting a Dyno test on their gas powered go-kart at Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC).
A Dyno test is a way to measure the power output of a go-kart's engine, giving them valuable insights into its performance. The Emerging Engineers worked hard to make this happen, and the results were impressive.
This was a crucial step in gathering data for the design of an electric motor conversion for the go-kart. The results will guide the Emerging Engineers in creating a high-powered, eco-friendly vehicle of the future.
The students also seized the opportunity to test an electric motorcycle, diving deeper into the world of sustainable transportation. Osseo-Fairchild is proud to provide hands-on experiences like these to their students, allowing them to apply classroom knowledge in real-world settings.
It's all about preparing the next generation of engineers and innovators. Emerging Engineering Students include Lilly Armstrong-Baglien, Josiah Filla, Jack Steinke, Nolan Olson, Connor Wilkinson, Izaiah Green and Noah Krueger. Advisors are Mr. Phillips, Mr. Carlstrom & Joe Vydrzal (CVTC).
