Marshfield Clinic Health System Warns of Phone Scam

Marshfield Clinic Health System is receiving reports from patients and businesses in the service area of a scammer using publicly facing Marshfield Clinic Health System telephone numbers and making calls.

It is reported that the scammer is using offensive language and may also ask for personal information from the patient. Please do not provide this information. Marshfield Clinic Health representatives will not ask for social security numbers or credit, debit or checking information unless you have agreed to make a payment.

If you believe you have been a victim of a scam, you may contact local law enforcement. However, since the scammer is using public Marshfield Clinic Health System numbers, there is little they can do to trace the call back to the scammer.
